Shlomit Ophir-Harel


Shlomit Ophir-Harel is an experienced corporate attorney with over 15 years of achievements in legal support positions both in law firms and corporate organizations. Shlomit has a rich history of success overseeing, negotiating and consulting on a wide range of corporate matters, including commercial transactions, employment matters, credit and loan agreements, real estate transactions, secured transactions and international business operations.

Prior to joining the Wender Law Group, Shlomit served as Chief Legal Counsel and member of the management team of Platinum Funding Group, a financing company based in New York City. As such, she was responsible for managing the company’s legal affairs, overseeing all the company’s litigation matters nationwide and was directly involved in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, including security agreements, purchase agreements, intercreditor agreements, loan agreements, guarantees, service agreements, real estate transactions, license agreements, employment agreements and nondisclosure agreements. Shlomit further supervised all legal matters of the company’s UK subsidiary and worked closely with UK based attorneys. Her experience as corporate counsel, coming from hands on experience, coupled with her friendly and welcoming nature makes her the perfect candidate to provide corporate clients with ongoing support on daily corporate matters as well as complex transactions. Moreover, her extensive experience as part of the management team of a local New York business enables her to analyze and understand her client’s needs not only through the eyes of an attorney but also from the business aspect.

Prior to joining Platinum Funding Group, Shlomit served as Of Counsel to the Shiboleth law firm, where she gained extensive experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including extensive motion practice, pre trial discovery, ample court appearances in NY Supreme Court, NY Appellate Division and Federal District Court and appearances in mediation and ADR sessions. While serving as Of Counsel to Shiboleth, Shlomit was further involved in real estate transactions, commercial transactions and a wide range of corporate matters.

Shlomit is admitted to practice law both in New York and in Israel and as such can provide legal support to clients based in Israel, clients that have matters involving Israeli law or matters involving business transactions with Israeli entities.

Shlomit is a graduate of Tel Aviv University, Israel, where she received her LL.B. degree in law (1993) and LL.M. degree in Commercial Law (1998). She speaks English, Hebrew and conversational French.
