Ripal (Rip) Gajjar


Ripal (Rip) Gajjar is Of Counsel to the Wender Law Group and works out of its Midtown-New York office. Rip is involved in counseling the firm’s small and medium-sized clients in a variety of business matters, including corporate structures, lease agreements, employer-employee issues and transfer of business interests.  Rip also handles matters related to trust administration and probate proceedings in the Surrogates Court.

Prior to joining the Wender Law Group, Rip participated in numerous complex commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets. He has also represented businesses in all aspects of commercial transactions, from entity formation, drafting partnership agreements and employment contracts, and filing and defending trademark applications. Rip has been involved in helping companies obtain the proper licenses and authorizations to expand into new areas of business and enter new markets.

Rip began his legal career as a paralegal and subsequently attended St. John’s School of Law where he was a member of the New York International Law Review. He interned at the Department of Enforcement at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and was involved in bringing regulatory actions against large investment firms. Rip also interned at the Litigation Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General of New York where he represented several State agencies such as the Department of Banking and the Board of Regents, and defended actions brought against State judges.

In addition to being part of the Wender Law Group, Rip maintains his own practice where he represents individuals and businesses in property disputes, contract claims and other civil matters.  Rip also represents individuals in criminal proceedings in the Courts of New York City and northern New Jersey.

Rip is admitted to practice in New York State Courts, the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts, and the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey.
