N. Cameron Russell
N. Cameron Russell is Counsel to the Wender Law Group and operates from our New York office. Since joining the firm in early 2007, Cameron has represented internet and e-commerce start-ups, on-air talent, clients within the fashion industry, a film investor, a documentary film production company, a media and animation company, and a music publishing company. Cameron has also represented various litigants in New York State courts and arbitration hearings and has argued before the Appellate Division of New York, First Department. Cameron has prepared and negotiated numerous contracts, drafted online legal content for advertising and software business clients, and has handled a variety of matters ranging from estate probates to trademarks. In the time he has been with our firm, Cameron has developed a successful working relationship with the long standing clients of the firm, as well as new clients, earning their trust and friendship, while continuing to provide them with the excellent service they had come to expect from the firm. Cameron’s polite, professional and personal demeanor is likely to make him a rising star in the legal profession. His practice areas include intellectual property, internet and technology law, privacy, e-commerce, corporate law, trusts and estates, entertainment and the arts, and contracts.
Cameron is a magna cum laude LL.M. graduate of Fordham Law School and received Fordham Law’s Emily C. and John E. Hansen Award for the highest cumulative average in the intellectual property and information technology law program. Cameron earned his J.D. from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he co-founded and served as Associate Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, received three American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest class grade, and served as the Teaching Assistant for Contracts I and II under Professor Celia Taylor for two academic years. Cameron is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he received a BSBA and the Edward Kidder Graham Award, which is given to the graduating senior who made the most outstanding contribution to the University through his or her work as a member of a student organization. Immediately prior to joining the Wender Law Group, Cameron managed recording artist Rihanna within the music industry, coordinated U.S. and international tours, developed business and marketing strategies, and conducted day-to-day business affairs.
Cameron also teaches as an Adjunct Professor and is the Executive Director of the Center on Law and Information Policy at Fordham Law School. In addition, Cameron serves on the East Harlem School’s Young Professionals Committee in New York City, as well as the Veteran Artist Program’s Board of Trustees. He is admitted to practice in both New York and California.
